Ikorodu Assembly Member-Elect Preaches Peaceful Co – Existence

Mr Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA), Member – elect, representing lkorodu Constituency l in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has enjoined his constituents, especially the Muslims, to embrace peace and live in harmony with one another.

Ogunleye, who will be inaugurated as a member of the 10th Assembly in June, alongside others, pledged to work towards further development of Ikorodu, when he fully gets into the Assembly.

He gave the charge in a statement on Friday, in Ikorodu, in commemoration of the Eid-il-Fitr celebrations to mark the end of the Ramadan fasting period.

“As we celebrate the joyous occasion of the Eid- el-Fitr, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. May this festival bring you happiness, peace, and prosperity”, he said.

“As your elected representative, I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that our community continues to thrive. In the coming weeks, I look forward to my swearing-in ceremony, and to serving the people of Ikorodu Constituency 1, to the best of my abilities.

“I urge all members of our community to embrace peaceful coexistence, regardless of our religious or ethnic differences. Let us come together in the spirit of unity, love and harmony, to build a more prosperous and secure Ikorodu for ourselves and our children.

“I wish you all a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration, and pray that Allah blesses our community with continued peace, progress, and prosperity”, Ogunleye prayed.
